Description:

The field design consists of three hexagons alternating with pairs of opposing triangles.

Within each hexagon is a lozenge with surrounding and attached triangles.

The construct within the hexagons is frequently seen in slit-tapestry weave Shahsavan mafrash side panels.

This panel is woven primarily on slit-tapestry weave; however, a narrow stripe of weft-faced plain weave separates the sumac border and the border guards.

The colors are from natural dye sources.

Condition:
The field portion is in good condition. There are a couple of very small reweaves in the field. There are areas of moderate wear in portions of the border. The panel is mounted on linen.
Structure:
Primarily slit-tapestry with weft-faced plain weave mentioned above.
