Description:

Select decorative rugs of exceptional quality were woven well into the 20th century.  This rug is one such example.

The rug has a thick, heavy feel, a necessary quality in a quality floor rug.

The dyes are of exceptional quality.  The colors varied and deeply saturated.

Both the border and field exhibit an elegant floral design theme.

However, the curvilinear rendering of these floral elements distinguish this rug from those of lesser aesthetic merit.

The confronting unicorns are an interesting feature.  On occasion, they are seen on West Persian rugs of this period
