Description:

The Sivas region attribution is based primarily on palette characteristics.

The dominate field color is blue-green, probably indigo sulphonic.  It has, however, worn quite well and adds a visually pleasing quality to the work.

Three rustically drawn ‘memling’ guls adorn an elongated, orange-red field medallion.

The field has a spacious quality due to the limited use of secondary motifs.

Cochineal is utilized effectively as an accent color in both the border and field elements.

The orange-red of the principle field motif extends to the border ground.

The border is narrow with sectioned diamond motifs connected by a thin, brown line.

Ivory box shapes are used in the guard stripes.
