| Description |
The design and composition of this piece is a classic example of nineteenth century Moghan-Savalan weaving.
In this particular composition the border is always ivory and is sometimes as wide as the field.
The field shows repeating cruciform motifs in a hexagon that has hooks on four sides.
This particular motif was also adopted in the Bijar and Khamseh regions when the Shahsavan migrated there. |
