Description:

Archaic and somber in appearance, this Baluch weaving is quite rare. The dimensions of the piece do not conform to what is typically assumed to be those of a chuval or khorjin.

The field design consisting of a diamond lattice composed of white dots is simple, rustic and very tribal.

The cross motifs within each diamond have experienced heavy oxidation.  The colors are an unusual olive-green.

There is a wide range of deeply saturated colors including a light and dark blue, two shades of red, brown, olive-green and white.

Condition:  There is heavy oxidation of the olive-green. There is low even pile and some areas of damage to the sides.
