| Description |
The "cane
row" design is a well-established member of the South
Persian tribal design vocabulary. It is, however, less frequently
employed by Afshar weavers then perhaps those of the Qashqa'i.
The composition, both field and border, is floral in theme.
The weave is exceptionally fine. The design is executed with
the precision of an experienced and highly skilled weaver.
The color range is wide. The dyes are strong and deeply saturated.
Condition:
Very good. There are small areas of high quality repair. The
pile is full and close-cropped. No moth damage. No wear creases.
